Growth & Fulfillment
Change is inevitable. If you want growth, you have to learn how to navigate change.
In order to maintain the health and sanity of our team, when organizational disruptions happen, we need to lead with transparency, empathy and encouragement through the change. Everyone manages change differently and the priority should be to proactively address concerns at an individual level.
seek out opportunities
• Change provides opportunities for growth. Some of the best learning moments in my career were in the valleys. When changes presents itself, which it always inevitably will, we get to take on new challenges.
• Change provides opportunity to support each other through tough times
• I encouraged a confident team member to provide support to a teammate who needed encouragement
• Change can be a much-needed palate cleanser to overcome creative block and reignite inspiration
• Change and transformation is one of the most difficult things you’ll encounter in your career - embrace the challenge and know that this too shall pass
Empower the team to understand, adapt and overcome

Foster Community
I believe the most important factor of fulfillment in my career is having the support of my peers and leaders. So it’s very important to me that everyone on the team knows they have each other's backs. We will share losses and celebrate wins together. Be authentic and vulnerable with each other. Act in the best interest of others. Recognize and celebrate our differences. Turn on our video as much as we feel comfortable, and respect those who prefer not to. Always come with a “yes, and” attitude and remember that no one is perfect, that we all fail. Give grace, withhold judgment. Give your ego a break, and make sure that the team is supporting each other emotionally.

Do the work
I am a hands-on leader. Whenever the team is in a pinch, I am going to jump in and help get it done. I love to create, it's a part of the job I hope I never lose. When I get to collaborate and design with the team it's one of my favorite parts of the day.

Lead with Humility and Authenticity
Business is personal, and I want the team to know that we all struggle. I have a young family, and I’m very open with things are difficult at home. I want to give the team the space to know that they don’t have to hide their struggles or pretend like they’ve got it all figured out.

Stay Curious and Humble
Demonstrate what staying curious looks like and face challenges with “what can we learn from this”. Seek out opportunities to learn and grow. I know there’s always an opportunity to be a better leader. Also, be open to receiving feedback from the team. I’m not perfect and I will make mistakes.

Create space to connect personally
Not every meeting needs to be about business. In my 1:1s, I want us to connect first on a personal level, and give ourselves the time and space to talk about anything that’s on our mind. I also encourage the eteam to do this in their individual 1:1s weekly. Prioritize your relationships first. If you need more time to collaborate on a project, set up more time, but don’t sacrifice your personal time. Lastly, it’s equally important to forge relationships across our org, especially within engineering.
